College coaches to the NFL.

Next Monday is Black Monday. Several NFL coaches will be fired. Rumors about their replacements will be rampant.

In the past week I've seen more than one source name the following coaches as drawing interest from at least one NFL team:
Urban Meyer
Pat Fitzgerald
Jim Harbaugh
Dan Mullen
PJ Fleck (saw his name for the first time today)

But, it has been at least a month since I have heard any "Dabo and Trevor to the Jags" rumors.

I doubt very seriously that Dabo is even remotely interested in the NFL. And, the "rumor mills" seem to agree. I expect some guy will just throw his name out sometime, but I don't think he will get near the speculation as the five I mentioned above.

Dabo will never go to the NFL

What he loves most about coaching is developing, mentoring and leading these young men. And he does it very well. He values that more than he values the trophies and accolades. He wouldn't have that in the NFL, which is filled with filthy rich young men, many of whom were given too much too soon with too little knowledge of what to do with it. It would never work for him. It's conceivable (though unlikely) he'll coach at another university somewhere one day, but I don't see him EVER jumping ship for the NFL. It just doesn't work with who he is and what he loves.

Why would any NFL team want Hardbow? He's been a flop at Meeeechigan.
