D Day

June 6 D-day memory My Brother graduated from West Point on D-Day. One of his classmates was John Eisenhower. I was present at the Graduation and sat in the Chapel right behind Mamie Eisenhower. The radio airways were full of chatter and we were all aware of our war in Europe starting. I was just a teenager, but knew who Mamie was. She was very quiet and composed. What a lady.

Cemetery, Point-du-Hoc, Omaha Beach, etc. were humbling to say the very least. Can't believe it's been 74 years now since the landings in 1944.
