a move to Conference USA, the AAC, the Sun Belt or perhaps even the SoCon.
At least then they have a little better chance of finishing each season in the .500 or slightly better range which would be a significant improvement over where they are now.
Of course, right now, they'd still be decided underdogs to teams like Cincinatti, Tulsa, SMU, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, App State and Louisiana.

The coots can't leave the SEC. They would lose their "but we're in the SEC" excuse.

I believe they would lose even more games in a smaller conference.
Even now they only are able to sign many of their recruits because of the SEC patch on their jersey.
Some kids' eyes light up when their offers include: East Carolina, Tulsa, UAB, and Wofford and then somebody with an SEC patch offers them and tells them that they will get to play in the best conference in college football.
Without the SEC patch, those kids would likely choose UAB or Tulsa.

Sunbelt has Coastal, App, UL, and Troy.... you might as well finish 4th in the SEC east as that would be their ceiling in the Sunbelt.
Coots only have a winning record against 5 of the 11 teams in the AAC]
Socon... well El Cit is there to dominate so, coots would probably turn chicken.

I wish they were in the ACC this year to be honest so we could actually get to play them and beat the crap out of them. Makes me sick we don't get to embarrass them in DV this year for 7 straight.
In all honesty, they would suck no matter what league they are in. They say the ACC is easy but UVA, UNC and Clemson have given them 3-straight losses to ACC teams. Miami and a few others would beat them easily, too.
They just suck. Always have, always will. Like others in this thread have already sated, they'd finish 4th - at best - in Conference USA.
