Coots investment in football a giant failure.

Nov 29, 2015, 5:31 PM

The Coots have invested over $100 million in coaches and facilities over the past 16 years and what do they have to show for it?

Nothing!

No championships and the program is in worst shape than when Holtz turned it over to Spurrier.

They have a losing record in their conference, they are about dead last in their conference.

The future is not bright in Cootlumbia.

You forgot about their green grass, little trees and new statue to George! Supposedly trying to re-invent "The Grove" outside the confines of WB! Pretty interesting they recognized their 1969 ACC team in the indoor facility! I guess they are angling to return to the conference since neither Holtz or the OBS could get them to a championship in the SEC. Based upon their fall they might do well in the Coastal Division since they barely beat Miami and then UNC.

Go Tigers!

they had a nice little run under spurrier, i have to give the man his due. He turned them into a legit program. The bitter pill for them to swallow is that they will never sustain that success without an equally impressive hire, something that will not happen this year. Their best days of football are behind them. Maybe in another 20 years, if the sport still exists, they will manage to string together a few more good seasons.
