On being asked if he should start recruiting, Shane responded "Does it matter?" Of course this upset the Coot boosters. Shane shrugged and said, "I guess it does. You see, you seem to pay more to get rid of coaches than winning, so why should I recruit, the buyout remains the same."

On a serious note, any new coach needs to have a recruiting win from day one: you have to keep the existing talent. Unfortunately, this is a live feed from cootlumbia

and former players seem to think highly of him.

However, with no experience as a head coach or even a coordinator, I can't imagine too many kids standing in line or jumping at the chance to play for him right now. Maybe after he puts together a staff that will change to a certain extent but who knows. However, if Shaw is not part of the equation, their next savior (5* QB) will likely bounce.

This is part of the rebuilding process which is selling recruits on the idea of playing at uof6c as opposed to one of the many other/stable/better P5 programs throughout the southeast.

They trail Coastal Carolina too. So Coots are 3rd in the state in recruiting and 2nd in barnyard mascot rankings in SC.

Maybe a 3-4 win team at best next year....

My advice is for Beamer to rent rather than buy. Get that big house in 4 years with your buyout pay.
