It is a touch better today day than with the prospect of nutty conspiratorial Trumptards in office. In a couple of years we can recalibrate. You can thank Trump. He created an unacceptable environment. Now you just have to hope that Trump doesn't destroy the Repub party even further while out of office.

The Dems will raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations, will get a huge infrastructure plan, get more stimulus to people, maybe some attempted immigration reform, and there probably some racial mumbo jumbo in the mix, and finish it all off with some climate change spending. That's about what I see in the 4 years.

I could see some weird identity politics stuff happening that would further divide the country. I wonder what their current Identity class rankings are now? The top tends to change in and out, but the bottom stays firmly the same.

How does that take money away from police? Bail from skipped court appearances back goes to the city, and in turn to the police. It also costs money for the police to confine protesters, so you're only backing me up here.

I think Manchin is a man of his word. There will be some narrowly decided legislation passed, but as long as it's a 50/50 Senate and with this narrow of a margin in the House, moderate Democrats aren't going to risk their future, siding with a lot of way out proposals.
Fortunately for Manchin, the governor of WV is a Republican, so Manchin can continue to fly on small private aircraft, go hunting with his buddies and their "friends" and even kayak daily on the Upper Gauley river without fear of an "accident." I wouldn't want to be a Pub Senator with a Dem governor.You would need eyes in the back of your head.
