Columbia Police tell State paper not to print story...

May 8, 2017, 1:47 PM

Per mushchump, the Columbia police department told the State paper not to publish a story that they had just written a police report on?

We knew it was happening...but didn't expect the coach to admit as such.

But Muschamp is okay with the State running a piece on racial slurs from Clemson players with zero proof that it ever happened?

At least the State had a police report as their source in this incident.

Too bad no one could stop this piece of fish wrapper

going out 6 months ago. Standards and Ethics are hard to come by when your reporters are fans of the home team in Cooterville.

The State is nothing more than an extension of the USuC athletic department. Even so, it's hilarious to see how the dirtpecker fans complain about the paper's coverage of them. It just goes to show how stupid their fans really are.

A criminal complaint was filed with the Columbia PD

May 8, 2017, 3:13 PM

and employees of the 5 Points bar where a fight took place identified and named 3 people as perps....how is this irresponsible journalism?? The local rag has a responsibiity to publish such information....

So did this attack NOT take place?? Was this vet not set upon by 3 individuals?? If a false complaint was filed, the police need to arrest the fake witnesses.....

No an assault took place, they had the victims family on the news. Its just a matter of finding the fall guy instead of the active players on the team. One reason why they are trying to prevent the video being released.

When the alleged story first came out and it said 3 players (2 current and 1 former). I knew right then they would use the former player as the "Fall Guy" in it. Especially since the 2 current players are probably their top guys on each side of the ball. When players are out at 3am in a bar nothing good happens.

Funny how

Chickens blast The State for poor reporting when the whole purpose of that paper is to promote everything USC. Their sports section is a joke with so many homer reporters that cheerlead for the chickens.

I'll actually agree he may have been right in...

telling them to hold off on the story until more details were gathered. The rag did the same to us regarding the claims of racial slurs in Death Valley last year. NO ONE could identify a single person who had done so, but Josh Kendall spent as much ink repeating the claims of their idiot football players as he did the actual drubbing the chickens endured the very next morning.

Serious question. Does the man have ADHD? If not, he acts like a meth head coming down from a good hit.
