Clemson baseball will be back.
I do think that Jack has lost it (or more, he lost his assistants). We will never fire a HOF coach. I would really like to see him retire.

Agree but we cannot fire him or we will never get a good coach. Jack needs to retire - and with encouragement if he's not inclined to do so on his own.

We're still here. I'll never jump from the Clemson wagon, regardless of the score, record, coach, players, cheerleaders, etc. We don't jump ship because of a game like this, or because the season didn't go as planned.

If you still support this man as the HC then you are NOT on a Clemson wagon.

One Championship in nearly two decades. You still support him you support mediocrity and losing.
That is not supporting Clemson.

0 championships in 11 years ('95 - '05). Did you support him then? Then you must have been supporting mediocrity as well.

I have been saying what I am saying for about a decade now.
He is insanely over rated. We have thrived on beating teams we out talent and we routinely lose to those when talent equalized. When hitting and pitching equalize it comes down to fundamentals (Coaching) and decisions. We have been awful on those things for a while now. That is why we rarely win Championships.
Those are the facts.

"Insanely overrateed"...are you sure this is a fact or merely your opinion? I'm choosing the latter.

Yes people treat him like an elite coach. Elite coaches win Championships.
but gj ignoring my other points.

I will gladly agree with you, if you can provide statistics to back your claim, as well as the source for them. Yes, this year's fielding percentage is abysmal, I will acknowledge that. But show me the numbers for fielding percentage, batting percentage, on base percentage, sac bunt/fly numbers, steals per game, steal attempts per game, successful steals percentage, era for the usual pitchers (not the ones that throw 3 innings all season). I realize this is against all logic on this board, but entertain me nonetheless if you may.

Fielding % Ranking Clemson National Champ Winner 03- 32 2 04- 114 17 05- 40 3 06- 22 8 07- 40 2 08- 107 52 09- 85 16 10- 133 13 11- 74 35 12- 40 93 13-
AVG- 69 16
National Title winners have been outside the top 25 in fielding twice in the last decade. When you get to Omaha hitting and pitching even out. It comes down to Defense and that comes down to fundamentals. We are NOT a good coached fundamental Baseball team. We haven't been in over a decade.
One Championship in 18 years should NOT be acceptable for Clemson Baseball.
Year Top 25 Non Top 25 Overall

I'm not sur where you got the numbers, but some spacing, columns, or punctuation would help out greatly with trying to read whatever it is you typed. The fielding has not been as good as we would hope for, it hasn't been since the 90's. But in Omaha, it wasn't our fielding that eliminated us, it was a lack of hits at crucial times, from 1st round selections to number 9 hitters.
As for season records, according to your numbers (wherever you got them), the wins vs. top 25 and non-top 25, increased from '08 - '10, then decreased in '11 and '12. Total wins for the season did the same during that same time frame. That's 2 seasons. Throw in this year and it's 3. I'm not sure how this implies that Clemson baseball team has been in a decline for "a while now" as you put it.
