There's nothing wrong with small ball - so long as you learn a proper stance at the plate, swing the bat aggressively at any pitch in the strike zone without worrying about how your extension and follow-through look and are more concerned with swinging the bat level and driving the ball into the power alleys...... and so long as you know when to steal, when to bunt and when to hit-and-run and how to hit behind the base runners...... and provided you have some speed.
Oh, yeah - you need pitchers, too......
Mainly, our batting fundamentals are terrible and our pitching (other than Crownover) wasn't so good.
