Calling all Clemson Marines!!!!

Marines of Clemson University (and those who support them),
Clemson has initiated an endowment for Marine Corps Officer candidates attending Clemson, and the goal is to build the account to allow interest to sustain the program. If you can, please make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation at the link below (click Marine Corps Endowment)!

This is a great cause for a "branch" of the Armed Services that seemingly never gets its due. I still remember the Marines early on in Viet Nam being issued M-14's. My best buddy when I was in the Medical Corps in the USAF was an active duty Sgt Major assigned to a reserve unit in our area. He passed away too young last year. He had 3 combat tours in Viet Nam. Great guy. My son went through the Marine summer program at Clemson and was an honor grad at OCS in Quantico. I only recently found out my mother's first cousin was a Marine Corps aviator and was a member of the Black Sheep Squadron under Pappy Boyington. Anyway, I have great respect for an outfit where literally every man is a rifleman and every officer completes the 6 month Basic Infantry Course. I appreciate the mental and physical toughness of Marines and hope others will donate to this cause.

Glad to throw some cash in as a former jarhead and Clemson grad. Congratulations to your son!

My sister-in-law's great uncle was Pappy Boyington's commanding officer in the Pacific. As a matter of fact, he was every Marine aviator's commanding officer in I believe 1945, and the CG of Marine Aviation in the Pacific.
