Best player under Brownell?

Feb 4, 2018, 4:41 PM

Who do y’all think is the best player we’ve had under CBB? I’d probably say JB5 but some of those early guards we had left over from Parnell were pretty good too. What is y’alls thoughts?

The best scorer is Marcquise Reed, and it's really not even close.

The best overall player is undoubtedly KJ McDaniels.

Bryan narcisse, he did get drafted by the globetrotters.

That's easy...DeAndre Hopkins

you just said player - not basketball player. Hopkins was on the team Brownell's first year, but rarely played.

KJ McDaniels

It's hard to argue against Marcquise Reed.

He is a very good shooter, from the three point line, the free throw line, and even the often-ignored mid-range. He is a good passer, and plays good defense as well. But perhaps most importantly, he is clutch. He can have two points during the first 35 minutes of the game, but will inevitably step up with key plays when the game matters most. He is a huge reason why we are having such a good season.

He will probably be considered too undersized to play in the NBA, too much of a 'tweener to be a true point guard or shooting guard. If he ends up playing in Europe, I predict that he will have a very good career there and make a team who signs him very happy. He's a winner.

A lot of people have mentioned Blossomgame and McDaniels. Both were very good, for sure, but weren't the leader and winner Marcquise is.
