Seems symbolic of their football years to come.

And in case you were curious, this is from the book “The Swamp Fox: How Francis Marion Saved The American Revolution” which as someone who was born and raised in Charleston and a big fan of our rich Revolutionary War history, I would highly recommend.

Yes,Thomas Sumter,the "Fighting Gamecock".Thank goodness he had more fight in him than the coots do,or we still might be flying the Union Jack.
