Anyone who thinks Disney does not pull the strings at ESPN

Nov 12, 2019, 11:29 PM

is very much mistaken. They own 80% of it and have never been shy at doing whatever they want with their properties.

Disney is the reason the Charlotte game was at night. For the movie.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

well, everybody had a good time at that.

Nov 12, 2019, 11:58 PM

I actually went to that game. Had it been during the day, I would’ve had to hightail it to the esso, cuz it was too hot to my liking.

Who does not believe Disney pulls the strings at ESPN? They own ESPN. Why wouldn't they?

What does this have to do with Clemson football?

Nov 13, 2019, 12:02 AM

Or football in general for that matter?

Are you suggesting that Disney has its favorite teams and is influencing the talking points made by ESPN analysts?

Disney has a bias towards Alabama

Nov 13, 2019, 1:13 AM

Because elephants are cute animals to put in movies and sell merchandise of.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL.....So are Koalas. Maybe, a team needs to adopt

Nov 13, 2019, 5:29 AM

that animal as its mascot.

Then again, Disney's roots are with a mouse. Perhaps, Minnesota should become the Mice...with a facsimile of ole Mickey, as their mascot. And as for Goofy...?

I think Columbia Collegei has a koala mascot***

Disney is also interested in marketing Rajah and Shere Khan and Tigger. The only reason they wouldn't want us in the playoffs is they get our tourist dollars when we play in FL.

I am suggesting that Disney will do what is best for its bottom line. I didn't say they were playing favorites, but you can analyze it any way you'd like.

Nothing to worry about, QAnon will get to the bottom of this.

Oregon actually received permission from Disney years ago to use a Donal Duck lookalike as its mascot. I don’t believe they have to pay any royalties for the duck.

So who does Darth Vader want in the top 4?

Nov 13, 2019, 9:55 AM

Asking for a friend

Where are you going with the statement? Both are interested in maximizing profits. To me ESPN pushes 2 conferences, the SEC and the B1G. The fan bases of the SEC are going to be skewed to the conservative side by a large margin. I think the fan bases of the B1G would be skewed towards the liberal side though by a smaller margin. What do the 2 have in common? The better teams in both conferences have very large, rabid fan bases that spend a lot of money.

It's the TriLateral Commission calling the shots. Disney, Trump and Pelosi are in cahoots and calling all the shots. It's a brilliant strategy to have the two politicos pretend to be enemies and Disney with the Mouse. You know about all the underground stuff in Orlando, right? The amusement park gives cover to all the asians. That tube the built from Disney to Trumps place on the coast makes it all work. You can't believe The Donald plays that much golf, can you?

May be true..but can they pull enough strings

Nov 13, 2019, 2:25 PM

To get those giant Turkey legs in Death Valley concessions?
