Another Way to Look at the Playoffs

Barring unusual circumstances, four conference champions will likely make the playoffs... meaning one of the P5 gets left out.

Right now there are 3 Big 10, 3 Big 12, 2 SEC, and 2 ACC teams in the top 10 (AP). In the Coaches it is 3 Big 10, 2 Big 12, 2 SEC, and 2 ACC teams in the top 9.

Behind all that there is USC as the top Pac 12 team.

So, unless something unusual happens, Final 4 will be the champs from the SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Big 10. If something unusual happens in one of the four conferences, then the Pac 12 could take a spot. It would take several unusual things happening to get two in from the same conference.

No question about it that we still make the playoff IF we win out... we just have to play a whole heck of a lot better than we have the last 7 quarters.
