All the other appropriations bills combined

into this package would be done anyway, it's just they are using this time to vote on them, while they've got everyone engaged and available to vote.

What I read/heard indicates the Covid bill. But I didn't

read the 5,600 page bill, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
So if you its not in there, show is the facts of where it is.
Either way, the US does not need to spend this $10M

Only a small portion of the 5,600 pages

is related to COVID. The rest are appropriations bills for other departments, Defense being the big one (which includes and has always included foreign aid). I'm betting that's where the one you refer to resides.

Certainly it's a reasonable thing to complain about

how much we're spending in all these areas, but I don't think it's fair to "compare" it to the COVID package. They're not related to each other.

Interesting, $15 million is earmarked for "democracy programs" and $10 million for gender programs. ###? I can see the use for democracy programs. GENDER programs? Notsomuch.

You familiar with Malala Yousafzai?

Even pants-on-head retarded Fox Business, who uses random Twitter uses as a source for its reporting, said:
While it is not made explicitly clear what is meant by “gender programs” in the legislation, gender equality is a central component to development in the country, according to the United Nations Population Fund.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) website also states that it works with Pakistan to improve women’s access to economic opportunities, increase girls’ access to education, improve maternal and child health, combat gender-based violence, and increase women’s political and civic participation in Pakistan.
Pakistan ranks the second lowest country in the world for gender equality. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/covid-19-relief-legislation-pakistan

That's certainly a noble goal, but I suggest the return on investment will be quite low. I would much rather that money be spent to help avert the impending famines in multiple countries. The culture in Pakistan will have to change itself in order for women to be treated better in Pakistan.

I am sorry for their plight

but my neighbor who is losing his restaurants, maybe eventually his house, could use some of that money.
The American taxpayer is getting zilch out of this bill. It’s embarrassing and there should be a revolution with both sides coming together and storming the Capitals at each state. We are all getting screwed. Makes me so mad

Seems like they are talking "old fashioned" genders - when there were only two. Pakistan is still in living in the 1990s.
