Naw. Because of coach V. He’ll have those guys ready. Somebody will step up and make plays. Gotta have faith.

Clemson is losing arguably the best DL in the history of college football so it would be silly to think that their won't be a dropoff.
That being said, we've recruited well and BV seems very confident in next year's starting DT's. Based on Clemson's track record of of sptting out elite college football DT's one can only assume more of the same.
The real question is who will be backing up Pickney, and Williams next year and how productive our back-ups will be. Dabo and co. have commented that William's is gonna be the next big thing, and we already know that Pinckney can play.
I wounldn't lose sleep over it, our defense will be just fine by the time it matters.

With the sad state of ACC football these days our D might just have to be “good” not “great” to win another ACC title and get us to the playoff

It doesn't work that way

'Having all the confidence in the world' and 'having concerns' don't go together. You have one...or the other.
BV's job isn't to match the prior year's performance. It can be a goal, but his job is to have a defense worthy of helping the team reach it's goals. He's done that and will again.

It amazes me how year after year, we hear from the talking heads how can we possibly replace this guy or that guy. Yet BV and the rest of the coaches get it done. Playing your 2s and 3s when the game is still on the line not only pays dividends during the playoff stretch, but also for the next season. Reload, Repeat.

We may not have a Wilkins or Lawrence, but the guys we will return and the guys coming in from the '19 class could easily fall in line with Grady Jarrett, DJ Reader, Carlos Watkins type guys.
Some aren't as well known but all are guys that our coaches really like and feel good about contributing at the position.
All of the previously mentioned guys are now in the NFL. None were 5 star monsters coming out of high school. They were players our coaches really liked and knew they could help win games.

Nope . We've recruited well . I think we'll be solid and I expect minimal drop-off .

We're losing some top, NFL calibre quality, but many teams (Clemson included) have been there before and survived.
The Patriots, for example, have reached 9 SBs in 18 seasons with a consatnt turnover of "key" performers. We lost Deshaun Watson in 2016, and within two years have unearthed an arguably greater talent.
I have every faith in our Coaches to continue their excellent work, and improve talent, and find ways to win.

Minor organizational issues. We will be fine. Players simply want to come to our school and community.
