How many current ACC schools have you visited for an away

Jul 30, 2020, 2:52 PM

game? For me, it is 3 - VT (2), Wake, Florida State (2). Went to a game at Maryland when they were still in the ACC. I have been to as many SEC venues for away games as I have ACC. I need to step up my game.

The two at the top of my list for future trips are BC and Louisville.

Anybody been to all 13 for a Clemson away game?

All but one...

While I have been to Pittsburg, I have never attended a Clemson game at Pitt.

In fact, I have been to all of the others, including Maryland, on multiple prior occasions.

I have not been to Louisville, Pitt, or Miami for a game. Checked off Syracuse last year, hoping for Notre Dame this year.

I saw Clemson play at Notre Dame in 1979.

Three things I remember about that game.

Notre Dame wore some hideous bright green jerseys with gold numbers.

I remember Billy Lotts third quarter TD run on a counter option play to put Clemson ahead. A lot of Clemson fans, including me, were sitting in that endzone where Lott scored.

Clemson settled down and controlled the ball for much of the second half with a punishing ground attack.

I did not claim Pitt though I have been there for a non Clemson game. Also when at VT I dont think they had joined yet though they were playing Clemson. As I recall I've visited the coots for Clemson games in all their incarnations- ACC, IND, SEC

Did Metro have football, or was that when they were IND?

In fact, all members of the Metro were independent in football but played a Metro conference schedule in all other sports.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.
