Been lucky. I went every year from 1975-2006, sometimes multiple days. Starting way back when you could just walkup on practice round days and pay $5 to get in. Plus always had ticket connections for the real rounds through friends (still do). But practice rounds were always my preference, way more relaxed, didn't have to walk on pins and needles all day. When they started pre-selling practice rounds (early-90's?), I signed up and got 4 tix every year for maybe a dozen years until they took them away to do the "lottery". Always went on Tuesdays, my favorite day to attend.
I think I've been twice since 2006. Such a hassle any more. Rather watch it TV.
People who never been should make EVERY EFFORT to go once, it will be one of your lifetime lasting memories. Really. It's that stunningly beautiful.

used to go every year.
I would say this - if you have never been find a way to go. Hopefully you will get there on a pretty day and experience the uniqueness that is Augusta. It is not the same as it used to be - but what is? It is still an experience that even non-golfers enjoy.
