Why is Bill Self considered to be one of the best coaches?

When you consider he has one of the top recruiting classes every year, in his 15 years at Kansas, he has one National Championship, but that is the only time he has made it to the Final Four! On numerous occasions, they have been a one or two seed, and get knocked out by a much lower seeded team. It seems to me, he could be considered an underachiever!

for the title. He's also taken 3 different teams to the Elite 8, including 7 trips there with Kansas. That's not too shabby a resume!

If we could erect it before the blue squad and Swoffy had us hung for having the his highest salaried ball club in the acc. I hate to say it but Self is right there with Uncle Roy, Dean, Cryshewkyghkrvn in that they have pro teams. I believe Kansas will win it all because I saw a team that can control a score to 6 points. Those guys were amazing and Self has probably broke through the payment ceiling for players.

Come on now , he is Def a top 10 coach today.
He took over after Roy left and has kept them relevant every year.

Ummm because he has won 14 straight Big 12 titles and his team(s) have been 1 or 2 seed no higher in the tourney since he took over. I didn't even mention half his accolades, he's a top 5 coach right now, get that bitter taste out your mouth man. We had a great season.
