ACC Football TV Money

Jul 22, 2020, 9:12 PM

If any ACC team cancels their season will they receive any portion of the ACC television money? It does not seem like they would since schools that do not sponsor some sports do not share in TV revenue produced by teams that participate in those sports. For example, Clemson receives no money from ACC televised lacrosse games and Syracuse receives no baseball money.

Maybe Swoffie could help them out with some, as a going away present.

Is the ACC going to give back the additional television money they make by having ND be part of their package for a handful of football games and every other sport? Don't think ND helps add any revenue? NBC pays them 15 million per year for only 6 or 7 games.

League revenue...

which is derived largely from TV contracts, the NCAA basketball tournament, and bowl games, is shared equally among all of the fourteen full members. Notre Dame receives much less since they are not a full league member. That said, schools that win national championships do receive additional bonus money.
