A priceless photo that I would like to see

Is the Usuck sideline in the 1977 game a few seconds before “the Catch”. The chickens had all worn special t shirts
In that game to show after they had whipped us that said “no cigar tonight”. They proudly displayed those tees the play before the game winning catch! A priceless moment to this fan. I bet some of you ‘not so young’ Tigers remember that.

Was at the game. Sitting in student section. We were on the other side of the field from the catch. All we could really see was the ref with his hands in the air, and then everyone went crazy.
Those gamecocks couldn't get out of there fast enough. Seems like we all stayed there for hours. Fun time.

Clemson vs. Carolina is a great rivalry but it was really something in those days.
I would say that the week leading up to that game was the most exciting and anticipated week of the fall semester.

Watch the kickoff. George Rogers takes the kick and Steve Godfrey No 40 gets blocked out of the frame and comes back to make a shoestring tackle on Rogers! I always considered him one of the games heroes.

Thanks I had forgotten that. Just now rewatching the end, I couldn't believe Obed didn't boom it out. Makes sense now. My recollection was Jerry Butler was very down to earth and a very nice guy. Speaking of Obed, I can not once remember seeing him around campus or town without a smile on his face. Good times.

I think the NCAA finally incarcerated him earlier this fall for a misdemeanor cannabis violation in the early 1970's. Sentence was 30 years with 29 years, 11 months, 21 days for general ugliness on ABC TV.

I was watching that game on a cheap ole TV and was so mad when we let them go ahead. Thought it was over. Shouldn't have doubted ole number 4. And what a catch! Can still see it in my mind on that ole snowy tv.
