A couple of things that kept the score down vs WF:

Sep 14, 2020, 5:08 PM

Wake had zero turnovers -- and exactly one penalty for 6 yards. A few turnovers, and this thing could've gotten ugly early.

Speaking of "ugly early", anybody seen Francis Marion® around today?

Just don't have the studs we have.

The term “stud” and Francis Marion® mentioned in the same thread.

Wake just does not have our talent. When you see a Clemson FB player, you know what he is and usually can identify his position by how he looks.

I took two of my grandsons up there two years ago, and it was a hot day. While waiting for our tickets to arrive, we went inside the Wake sports shop and museum to get out of the heat. The Wake buses arrived, and their players passed us going to the locker room.

I kept waiting for the real studs to pass, and they never did. Clawson was the last to pass, and I knew it was going to be a long day for Wake.

Clawson is a good coach, but he, nor many others, approach our talent level.

We had three drives of 90+ yards. That takes

time off the clock. Still, we pulled our starters with over half of the 3rd quarter remaining. That alone made the difference of about 14 to 21 points. Could have easily been 51 or 58 to 13. But this is one where we don't even have to justify the 37. When the starting offense was in, the precision was obvious.

That’s true all three 90+ yards took about 3 1/2 minutes each. So that’s about 21 points per quarter.
