The Carolina Panthers have the 7th pick, but I also agree that I seriously doubt Simmons falls out of the top 10-especially after his combine numbers.
Heck, some mock drafts have him going 3 or 4.

I don't disagree, but I hope that our guys fall far enough to get with a good organization - one with a reasonable chance to compete for championships.

For what it's worth, I've seen some people saying AJ Terrell's combine may have moved him back up into the back half of the 1st round, I've seen John Simpson mocked as high as the middle of the 2nd round, and K'Von Wallace has been mocked in the 3rd round by some sites, so seeing these folks have him in the 5th round is surprising.

I love Herbert and his projection into the NFL. I think he's a guy that'll shock everyone and become a solid starter as he consistently got better every year in college.

I dont think I saw him have a big game even once his entire career. He has the size and arm strength, but I wasnt really impressed by anything else he did at Oregon.
I'd rather draft Jordan Love, but I wouldn't be taking either in the top 10.

Supposedly the Utah State QB is a lock for the 1st round now...as high as 6th pick or so, but somewhere in the 1st round. This mock draft has him 3rd round. Also, sounds like Simmons will go higher too. I like him on the Raiders though. I bet he isn't there at 12 though.

him at the combine. We already knew he was big and fast. The problem with Muse is that he's stiff and lacks agility, and he didn't participate in the 3-cone or shuttle to address those concerns.
Muse is a thumping, run-stuffing safety, and that's just not the kind of player that's valued highly in the current NFL.
