But at the same time, not winning it and then obliterating the "best defense" ever might have earned him the title of best college QB ever (until TL is drafted). I think since he was passed over, folks will try and revise that as best they can. I still think that LJ was a worthy winner and the problem is that the trophy was given before the end of the season.

What Clemson's previous coach John Heisman say about the trophy in his honor today? He probably rolled over in his grave in 2016 when DW4 was passed up.

The Heisman award lost a lot when they removed "Character" from the requirements. If memory serves me, that happened to coincide with Jameis Winston winning the Heisman.
