I understand it was once frequent, now it’s not. Simply earn it again. At this point it’s a curse and laughable we print that city on the hat without having earned it….
Love this team and school, but we’re not Omaha caliber right now and it’s silly to present otherwise on our uniform.

Unless you are part of the team, which i highly doubt, you have ZERO say in what they wear. This team has sacrificed since the fall to give you an opportunity to watch a game, please dont use this opportunity as a time to whine about their hats. They get to choose that.

That’s not even a rational argument. The team picks the uniforms? Sure, they vote annually on leave or remove Omaha. Got it. Jog on

to do something isn’t sacrificing.
Absolutely fascinating.
I guess now you’ll say you didn’t imply that with your question, or you’ll conveniently draw a line somewhere so that SOME people who get paid to do something are in fact sacrificing.
This site gets dumber by the week.

What exactly are they sacrificing? They get the opportunity, and

some also get paid, to play a game. They could have to ho work a job or two to make it through school.

Being a college athlete means years of workouts before the sun comes up and after it goes down. It means missing family time. It means missing holidays. It means not having a normal college life, or a normal teen life because of all the work it takes to become a college player. It means putting all that work in for years heading for a lifetime goal but which can be erased with a single injury. It means facing the scrutiny of fans and the people covering the sport.
It also means doing all of that, only to have some lazy bigmouth on the internet (who probably never sacrificed anything) telling them that a paycheck negates all of their sacrifices.
That’s just the beginning.

World class nutrition, free health care, untold amounts of free Nike gear, King treatment, marketing themselves through the school at no expense to them, now NIL, and so on and so on. Yeah they have to work hard to receive all that as should be expected, which involves missing some things. I bet none would trade what they have to be a “normal college student”. Sacrifice, get real. No one is forcing them.

Yep. Those are perks. No one says there aren’t built-in bonuses. But those also don’t erase the sacrifices.
It’s bizarre that someone would think sacrifice and reward can’t coexist. What a weird concept.
Anyway, you take the final word if you want. I’m done here. No sense in talking to an alleged “fan” who doesn’t appreciate what these young people do to entertain you while you’re reclined on the couch and shoveling snacks in your mouth.

First of all. It’s always a good season when we go to Omaha. But it’s never been “frequent”. Secondly, we will be fine. We will still host a regional. Get a job. So many first year baseball fans come out of nowhere

It was frequent in the early 2000s. And first year fans? No, I’m a baseball and football season ticket holder. So many sensitive defenders that ignore the reality of using that word. Motivation or not… if it’s been more than 15 years, take it off the hat until you EARN it again

We need to earn it back. It looks silly when it’s a 15 year drought. Imagine if it got to 20 years.

This little jab is one frequently used by coots & SEC trolls on twitter. It's pretty pathetic that we've now got to hear it from within our own fanbase.

I don’t think it’s a jab… I think baseball fans are very frustrated and with good reason. Omaha on the hat leaves this program open to ridicule when it’s been 15 years since we sniffed it… most of those years had no chance so I somewhat agree, you earn that part of the hat bc at this point it looks silly. Bakich needs to pick up the recruiting or hire someone that actually recognizes talent in the portal bc this lineup is one of the worst I remember Clemson putting out there 1-9… and that’s not being dramatic that’s being real. This team is pathetic at the plate and the entire approach , I’m sick of seeing guys strike out with 2 strikes on a freakin fastball right down the d!CK… what are you guessing for with 2 strikes !?!?! It’s the worst approach ever …. Pitching hasn’t helped but this team is absolutely atrocious at the plate and I hope there is a bunch of fresh bodies brought in or freshman we don’t know about bc Omaha ? This type of talent with get us just what we have , an inflated record on bad early season teams and make a regional and constantly get knocked out … maybe make a regional but absolutely no threat in Omaha.

I GUESS THE PART WHERE IT IS A "GOAL" EVERY YEAR MEANS NOTHING. IT IS A "GOAL" AND WILL BE A "GOAL" EVERY YEAR. DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE GOING TO GO EVERY YEAR. SOME OF YOU PICK OUT THE MOST PICKY ANNIE SH!T TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. HEY MAYBE WE SHOULD DO AWAY WITH THE LONG WHITE PANTS WHILE WE ARE AT IT. SMFH

It’s not picky. By your logic, football should put CFP on their helmets every year since it’s the goal…. By your logic it wouldn’t look stupid if Carolina did as well.
