Some thought Omaha. There was no way ….i had a hunch when we were number 3 and 2 this was a fluke ranking. Boy as I right …so many flaws. Can’t believe some of yall drank the kool aid. I hate to be right on this stuff but my gah.

as we won mostly by other teams stinking it up, a lot of base on balls, hit batters, passed balls etc leading to runs for us.

Man, I had high hopes for the season and hate that they're losing like they have been. But I surely don't see Omaha in the road ahead for this team, barring absolute miracles.
A few weeks ago, after the first loss at NCSt, someone asked: "Can I ask how the number two team in the nation is not college World Series material?"
I said:
Continue playing like this, they won't be #2, let alone in the top 10. And if they continue playing like this, they don't win a regional, let alone a super. So they don't get into CWS.
That's how.
OTOH, if the #2 ranking accurately reflects the actual play of the team and last night was a fluke, then no worries.
Which will it be? I guess we'll keep rooting for them and see.
I also said on a similar thread:
Sorry, but it is starting to feel like basketball season all over again. Chasing record number of wins, close to leading conference standings all season, cruising along, climbing the rankings, beating top teams, then getting skulls pounded in multiple times against a more-or-less equal-strength team. Hoping baseball season doesn't end with one-and-done ACC tournament game and then in McNeese State fashion.
Not predictions of any sort, just observations.

Never proud to be right especially when it’s against my teams I pull for and attend the games. Hope I’m wrong but it’s obvious…
The me saying Omaha was a joke bc I know many on here and the roar make excuses and pump sunshine no matter! Some are afraid to talk or point out bad things when it’s clear as day.

wow, most absurd, uninformed post of the year! The only place this team is going is home after 2 to 3 quick games in the Coastal regional. This isnt a slump dude, this is reality that we have seen coming all year when schedule got real!

I'd be willing to bet he knew we weren't Omaha bound because his inside sources told him so, you know the one we see on TV every gameday and his radio friend.
Of course unless we do end up making it to Omaha and then it will be "things change you know"
