Please ask Nick Saban what happened when lil’ ol’ Clemson who “don’t play nobody” took the field against the “best college football team ever.”
It’s not about the ACC with its UVA, BC, NCSU, etc. crowd. We don’t do the “conference is king” garbage like you do.
It’s about Clemson.

Well its more ESPN being the hype machine for the SEC. I hope one day they lose the broadcast rights and have to eat their words.

Dear Coach Kiffen,
Thank you for telling the truth. It has hurt our feelings. We think having an individual pie slice is more important than the whole pie. Also, we can't see how a rising tide raises all boats. We don't worry about the betterment of the conference. Since we are selfish we only want what is good for our team only. To heck with that attitude that individual pieces working together makes a strong conference. It's all about the me only attitude that we care about.
We are beat to death in the SEC and can't understand why. After all it's all hype I hear and it's no better than in other leagues. This so called hype is just too much. Could you help us get into a basketball conference that doesn't care about football, we can walk through an easier schedule, maybe at the most have only one big game a year and we can beat our chest thinking we are something? This will also lessen the distraction of big crowds so playing in little stadiums will help calm our nerves. We believe the ACC would be what we are looking for.
When we get settled into that junior conference we will join the crowd saying there isn't big crowds going to SEC games, they don't lead in viewership, attendance, national titles and players selected by the NFL. It's just all hype. Doesn't happen or exist. Just a big fabricated hype machine.
