Clemson's Young Talent

While the team mat be losing a lot at the end of the year, the underclassmen may be the best group Clemson has ever assembled. Though there may be a regression next season, the next few years should be fun. Take a look at some of these guys and who they had offers from:

DEL JONES, Fr.
Class of 2024
Other offers: Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Oregon, Miss. St., Arizona St.,

DALLAS THOMAS, R-Fr.
Class of 2024
Other offers: Auburn, Houston, Arkansas, St. John's, Texas A&M, Illinois

ZAC FOSTER, Incoming Freshman
Class of 2025
61st ranked player nationally for his class

ACE BUCKNER, R-Fr.
Class of 2024
Top 150 player

CHASE THOMPSON, Incoming Freshman
Class of 2025
Top 150 player

Incomparison, here are some of the HS rankings of Clemson's best players of the past few years
PJ Hall (74)
Chase Hunter (175)
Ian Scheiflien (243)
Hunter Tyson (Unranked)
Chauncey Wiggins (181)
Dillon Hunter (201)

At one time during their final HS season, the entire Class of 2024 (Thomas, Jones, Buckner) were all ranked in the Top100

I hope we can get these guys to stick around. It's kind of tough to get too enthused about our HS recruits with the high turnover we experience there. Maybe having greater success like we're having on the floor will generate some more staying power. The end-of-college-career one-and-dones have been a boon of late though, so not knocking it really but there's less than a 50/50 chance any of these cats will go the distance.

And so far he's been bringing in impact transfers every year, so I expect that to continue as well.

How many spots will there be? It seems like 2 maybe? Definitely a center. Then I guess another PF.

He did a great job assembling this recruiting class for Brad.

He also made Clemson cool, because Clemson was lame before he arrived.

Yeah..
That is is pretty cool. So speaking of Dabo, what should we do to honor his contributions to turning the basketball program around?

Also, in a way, even though Dabo is the most humble man alive, he should get more attention for all he has done for basketball. I am sure Brad has thanks Dabo over and over, but I mean something more. Like someone said about naming the basketball court in LJ after him or even renaming ate arena after Dabo.

Gotta give Brad credit

With the amount of time he’s spent in the portal he’s now able to pick a couple targets for Dabo. Might be a good replacement for Pearman since he doesn’t seem to know where the portal is.

How much of this was Billy Donlan and McKay, of our recent recruiting success?

I am sure Dabo has helped them and taught them well and I am sure Dabo is a strong selling point when trying to land these solid hoops recruits.
