His stat line today.
14 points - 75% FG % 9 rebounds (7 offensive) 5 assists 0 turnovers 1 steal 1 block
He has been ridiculously good this year. His improvement year to year has been fantastic. He might be the MVP of this team at this point. This is what makes our team so good. You could make an argument for 3 players being the mvp of this team in the Schief, PJ, and girard.

How did he only have 9 rebounds? He was everywhere today. Hoping he can keep playing at this level into the conference portion of the schedule.

He's performed well against pitt, bama, tcu, and scar. I would think he should hold up in acc play.
If we remain healthy, this is a top 10 team.

He has always hustled his a** off. Now he is stronger and has developed offensively. His rebounding is ridiculous!

He hustled his a** off! And now he’s showing more skill than we could’ve hoped for!

Kid is just built different.
It's nice that after three years the wannabe fans are catching on to his contributions...

Yeah bbo, I got roasted a couple years ago saying that kid was special. But he was sceered to shoot, sceered to get a foul because as soon as he did, Brad would jerk him out. Folks can disagree with me, but the best thing that happened for him, and the team is the new assistants.

Very impressive. Looks like we have more than one or two players this year. Don't have to rely on just PJ. We'll see how it goes in conference play. Cautiously optimistic.

If we go 14-6 again in conference like last year we will be a lock for a tourney given our much improved non conference performance.

I remember watching him in his limited minutes as a freshman thinking, "Man, that guy is clumsy and non-athletic." Amazing how he's developed since then.
This team is fun to watch and indeed could become a top 10 team. They've beaten 3 quality teams in a row, 2 as road underdogs. Just need for Chase to break out of his shooting slump before we get into ACC play.

Yeah, I remember that too. He couldn't buy a wide open lay-up. But you could tell he had tons of potential when he was in high school. He grew up a lot when pj got hurt and out for the season. Was so hoping he'd get one more reb for the double double.
We weren't underdogs last night were we? If so, not sure why since tcu was net 46. The only reason tcu was unbeaten is because they'd played 6 q4 and a q3 teams. Coach doesn't believe in freshman- smh.

I have always been imoressed by his touch around the basket, even when he was missing them he wasn't thorowing up bricks, like a lot of big men we have had in the past. I think of guys like Trevor Booker who always had a soft touch around the basket. Now Ian has developed his mid-range shot, as well as the three-point shot. He is just the ultimate grinder ..... and so consistent!

Schief impressed me his freshman year during that closing stretch where he and Middlebrooks had to put some big minutes in while Hall was hurt. Was thinking that adding a true freshman 15 or sophomore spread to his frame from there would do him wonders. He showed a lot of tenacity back then but not the size to get the most out of it. That is clearly no longer the case.
