If the "adapt" crowd can run off Dabo....

we will then be forced to use the portal due to the massive losses in personnel we would incur.
So they have a fool-proof plan to get us "caught up with the times."
Genius, really.

The weak try to shame the strong

“The phrase "the weak try to shame the strong" is not a common saying, but it generally describes a situation where someone who feels powerless or inferior attempts to belittle or criticize someone who is perceived as powerful or superior, often by using tactics like gossip, negativity, or undermining behaviors to make themselves feel better at the expense of the stronger person; it can be seen as a form of psychological projection or a way to compensate for personal insecurities.” - Google

I think fans just want Dabo to participate in the portal and NIL recruiting. Only those in denial can’t see that this roster is constructed badly. There are measures that can be taken to fix the problems. But not Dabo, because, well I have no idea. Culture only made sense when players weren’t being paid. There is no excuse for letting your program slip because of a stupid opinion.

Nonsense, people want him gone. FM posted the thread from just this week. THere are posts and threads nearly every day that range from intimating he needs to leave to outright saying it.
Additionally if the roster is constructed "badly" (also commonly thrown around here with no real objective evidence) then going 9-2 with a real possibility of 10-2 means that our coaches are pretty #### amazing.

####### retarded. That assumes Dabo is "the strong" and anyone demanding better for our money is "weak." I know you're stupid, but you can do better than making up a stupid saying and then forcing AI to define it.

Some of us would like for him to try harder to make us an elite football program, rather than hamstringing the program like he has recently with some of his coaching hires and his attitude about NIL and the transfer portal.

If given the keys today no doubt. I’m a bigger Clemson fan than Dabo fan first off. I truly believe LK would recruit at the highest level and make the appropriate changes needed to get us back. We need opinions different than Dabo’s/Neff’s within the administration rather than constant yes yes guys. That’s what drives success.

Is this a joke? This has to be a joke. The best Kiffen has done as a HC in the last 15 years is win a conference title in the Conference USA, and has never taken a team to a playoff. He was fired on the tarmac at USC, was released of his duties as an OC at Alabama, has bounced around to countless programs over the years, and is the most immature coach I've ever witnessed. You want him as our head coach over Dabo Swinney who has won 8 conference championships and 2 national championships in the same period and has been loyal to the same program since he was hired here as a wide receivers coach? You really think Lane Kiffen would win a National Championship within 2 years? This is one of the dumbest things I've seen posted here in a while, and I've see some knee slappers. Did you people not learn your lesson when you ran off our HoF baseball coach and we got stuck with Monte Lee's crap for 7 years?

He’s always known how to run the program better than Dabo does. His comments are only there to further his agenda. Anyone who says no one wants to run Dabo off has their head in the sand or can’t read. Plenty of posts on here recently to show otherwise. FM attached one above. He’s simply a hater and accuses anyone who shows any level of support for Dabo as a cultist. I’m with you - no need to read what he writes because it is always the same tired old lines.

There are several factors. One of them is the amount of other schools, particularly SEC and Big Ten schools, are now receiving. We were already and now it's gotten worse.
Another issue is at about 10 or 12 years ago comma when Chad Morris got here comma The offense that we started running Was ahead of the curve. Most of the elite teams back then had more run oriented offenses, and we were running a more pass oriented offense. That also helped us get in a lot of good recruits his skill positions, particularly quarterback and receiver. Back then we were also ahead of the curb and using social media as a recruiting tool. Other schools have called up with that. Other schools have also started changing their offensive philosophy to be more passing-based as well.

Can we at least agree that we have a problem? The problem statement is we want to have an elite program which can compete with anyone in the country (like we had in 2014-2019) but we no longer have the roster to accomplish that goal. The reason our roster talent has declined is the money being offered (to HS talent and portal talent) for elite players is too good to pass up which means we are no longer able to build a roster which can compete at the highest levels. We will see a big dip after next year (assuming key players do not transfer) when PWoo, Cade and Parker move on or to the NFL.
It appears either we need to accept Clemson will become another ACC level team or Dabo will need to modify how he recruits or we accept a dip hoping the new rules will level the playing field.
If there is another option please respond.

This is the problem. Just the statistical odds alone say that more often than not, we won't have an elite program like 2914-19.

Maybe so but we have put everything in place to be elite more years than not (facilities, assistants, staff and game day experience) except a single aspect which seems to be the driver. The only reason we are declining is our coach decided not to play the game. I don't disagree with his reasoning but the net effect is our fans are paying for a top tier program but not seeing it on the field.

The problem is, you have a lot of other schools around the country who have also put in everything that's necessary to be elite as well.
Also, you're wrong about the coach being the only problem. There are a couple of significant issues. One is that back around 2011 when we first started winning, most of the other Elite teams were playing more run oriented offense. At the time we were kind of ahead of the Curve and using an offense that was geared more towards passing with a lot of misdirection and trying to run a lot of plays to offset disadvantages up front. That also helped to bring in a lot of recruits at the skill position, because they were able to Showcase themselves for the NFL in ways they weren't able to do it some of these other schools. Another issue is that back then Clemson was one of the first schools to use social media for recruiting. Now everybody's doing that. In fact, a few years ago, Ohio State hired away one of the guys from our social media staff to run there social media program For the football team. Some of the advantages that we had in the past we simply don't have anymore. That frankly has a lot more to do with it than Dabo.

Dabo has proven two things:
Given a level playing field, he can outsell every other coach in the business
The amount of money currently being offered to elite players cannot be overcome by his traditional recruiting pitch
The other part you wrote about the type of offense being run and social media are non-factors IMO.

They are absolutely non factors as the other guy just told you.
You reference 2011 as a time when there were more run oriented offenses? Are you kidding me?
That has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with our decline. You’re reaching and grasping here my guy.

Option C is to keep talking about how Dabo is the greatest thing to ever happen to Clemson, reference 2015-2020 elite-level success, and reassure everyone that Dabo will fix it even though the last four years suggest otherwise.
Also, by invoking option C, it is also highly advisable to call anyone who disagrees a hater who has unrealistic standards.
