Call me crazy but we know how Dabo is as a man and even though I was scratching my head wondering what was going on last night, reflection leads to me to think Dabo did not want to embarrass the Bowden family with a 40+ point victory in breaking Bobby Bowden's ACC win record. As Dabo stated all week, Bobby Bowden was a mentor and he was an honorary family member. Win and go home.

Yea. I don’t think Dabo wanted to see 7 FG attempts and 2 of them being blocked. Or maybe he did that intentionally to get Hauser some practice?

I think it was more that he got the lead he wanted at 23-7 and knew that, with the FSU offense, they weren't going to catch up unless we helped them. He went conservative to make sure we didn't give them anything. He took the Freshmen out and played the experienced guys he trusted more.
It didn't look so good, but it got the job done which is all he cared about.

Play calling was very conservative in the 2H and designed to minimize turnovers. Cade did a good job managing the game based on what Dabo wanted to do.

Play calling in the second half was to control time of possession by running the ball and running time off the clock.

Yes, which tends to be a conservative approach. We were managing the game for a specific outcome rather than worrying about the spread. Kind of similar to the coot game last year.

I think there is something to this honestly. The respect factor played in big time, although Norvell deserves destruction every chance possible imo.

Yes a little overthinking in deed. The tigers played their best to get more of a lead but FSU had something to say about it. We are not the juggernaut you think we are. Defense not as good as few years back and offense is not the DW and TW version. We are getting better and my hopes as we will be good enough to win the ACC and get in the playoff and win a couple of games.
