in the day was one Christmas day. The greens at our club were FROZEN solid. We played three holes, and quit when every shot we hit from distance cracked the greens, and bounded twenty yards over into the woods behind. I mean like twenty yard high bounces. We figured there was gonna be no way to really gamble on the game in those conditions, so we went home and did the Christmas thing.

It warms up every single day, and then cools down again at night. They can't seems to control it worth a flip.
