The fact we have some new guys no one knows about at receiver. CK needs to come out the gate taking chances and throwing downfield. I think it’s a winnable game with a fast start on offense

I recommend a Tiger TD on the first drive.

And No One gave us a chance against Alabama in the championship game. Alabama’s team was billed as the best college team EVER. You see how that turned out…Go Tigers…

With the way our offense has performed that might mean holding them to -1. Is that possible?

We'll be lucky to score 14 points vs UGA in an opener in Atlanta (basically their back yard).
In the beginning of the season, Defense is almost always the better unit in football. Given how deep UGA is and we only averaged 30 points vs much less quality opponents the back half of last year, we're not going to start fast.
I would be Utterly shocked if we came out and scored anything above 24-27 points (unless there are 2-3 tunrovers).
Without that, be prepared for 14-17 points. That will be a good night.
Our offense might be pretty decent by the end of the year, but it will take everyone staying healthy, WR's will have to prove they can block & get seperation and the Off lineman are going to have to improve a lot under Matt Luke.
I just don't see that happening until we get several weeks into the season.

It’s funny to me how positive and thorough some of my fellow fans feel about a Clemson loss to Georgia. I believe you if think you’re being realistic, but it is entirely realistic for the Tigers to win. Yes, we are the underdogs and the odds, based on recruiting and returning talent, say we should lose but that is how bookies make money. This year’s offense has a chance to be light years better, but you seem so sure we can’t score 20 on them. We might score 10, but we could score 35 and beat them either way with our Defense.

Just being honest.
In Atlanta - Their backyard.
Georgia is bringing back 16 starters, to our 11. Offense: 8 to our 7 Defense: 6 to our 3 Special Teams: 2 (Kicker, Punter) to our 1 (Punter).
On top of that, the depth behind their starters is where they shine as they've have at least the 2nd best run in recruiting over the last 4 years (4, 3, 2 & 1 per 247). They signed (19) Five stars to our (8). While they have lost some players to the portal, they did a really good job of plugging any holes back through the portal.
More than anything, I simply don't trust our offense.
- It's been largely injured, poorly recruited at WR and Oline and even more poorly developed.
- Mafah is good, but we don't have a Etienne or Spiller game breaker type at running back.
- Our best receiver over the last 3 seasons had 604 yards in a season and We can't rest our hopes on 2 true freshman WR's either. Not in the first game.
- Cade has a LOT to work on as well.

Recruiting and returning talent aren't just factors in how bookies win money. They are factors (huge factors) in winning or losing games.

If Georgia wins the toss, Kirby will defer.

If they get a stop on our first drive they basically steal a possession.
If we win the toss, Dabo should defer.
