the paw smaller so that the Clemson football team appears larger than life; relative to the size of that tiger's paw print, that means that the Clemson football team resembles an animal, say, the size of a rabbit.
I don't think that's the message Clemson wants to send.

with you on the helmet,but don't forget that black is a natural color on a tiger.correct me if i'm wrong,but before hatfield started the purple thing,the helmets had a white stripe in the middle and a black stripe on each side.personally,i always liked just the single white stripe,and there's no freakin' way anybody should mess with our beloved white paw.that borders on a crime against humanity.worth fighting over!

The Tigers are orange and purple and nobody should care how hideous it is, we should shove it down everyones throat. Nobody gives a #### if it is too loud of a combo for your khakis church function, it is Clemson and no other school in the nation. Nobody cares about FL, Auburn, UVa, Syracuse, UT, orange and purple is Clemson and ONLY Clemson. #### everyone else.

Just out of curiosity, why even go down the black color route? It has nothing to do with Clemson. If we were to do one of these special helmet deals why not use our colors by making the black a deep metallic purple? I personally don't like the idea but I also don't like the two orange stripes on our white pants ( reminds me of Bama) but I do understand how young kids and recruits could like this every now and then.
If we are going down this route for fun can we at least use our colors, try it with a metallic deep purple, mat purple etc. just a thought!

I wouldn't be mad at seeing one of these creations make the field for one game. I remember the added electricity in Death Valley when they showed up at the top of the hill in all purple for the first time against GT. Many schools don't have black in their primary colors but will use it for an alternate uniform. Hence the word "alternate"

I don't mind the bigger shaped Paw, but our helmet needs to be orange with a white Paw. If we want a second "cool" helmet, use a purple one with a Paw. Don't mess with the best and don't mess with success! I don't want to be like Maryland, et. al.

I don't understand the hate for a black and orange helmet. When I played football we had a team tha normally wore red and white, the game they played us they wore black and orange for Halloween and it was intimidating to say the least. I for one am for something like that one game maybe not that exact helmet but, something along those lines.

we have had essentially the same helmet design. When someone turns on the TV and sees an orange helmet with a white paw they say "That's Clemson" rather than like some teams where they have to look at the ticker to see who is playing.
And I would rather a team be intimidated by our play than what clothes we are wearing.
