4-star 2017 running back Cordarrian Richardson from Memphis, TN committed to Clemson on Sunday.
TigerNet.com spoke with Richardson moments ago, and he announced his commitment to Clemson while he was driving back home to Tennessee from his visit with his family and coach. Richardson is a consensus 4-star running back recruit by all the major recruiting services. He is a powerful bruising type running back with great speed and might be the only running back that the Tigers take in their 2017 recruiting class. Clemson commit Amari Rodgers is friends with Richardson and was recruiting him hard during his short trip to TigerTown. Richardson is also buddies with 5-star wide receiver recruit and Clemson target Tee Higgins. Richardson was named state title Class 2A Offensive MVP this past season as he ran for 342 yards on 41 carries to win the 2A state title 40-35 over Marion County and it was Trezevant high school's first ever state title. For the season, he had 2,239 yards with 18 rushing touchdowns and five more scores on punt returns. We also spoke with Richardson on Saturday night, and he had the following positive things to say about TigerTown. "The day was perfect," Richardson said. "Everything about the visit was phenomenal. I got to meet the players, all the coaches and all that good stuff." Richardson enjoyed meeting with the entire Clemson coaching staff during his visit. "They tell you how it is straight up. Just everything about them I like." His family also enjoyed their trip to Clemson too. "They loved the place and they really loved Coach Swinney." #WE2DEEP pic.twitter.com/jTFOjLUe0q
