will visit the New Orleans Saints this week according to a report by ESPN host Jayson Braddock. Other teams that have reported interest include the Lions and Dolphins.

The time has elapsed in free agency that Bowers can now be picked up by a NFL team without them having to give up a compensatory pick even though he is a veteran coming off of his rookie contract.

The Bamberg high school product had 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and a pass break up in 2014.

He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round with the 51st overall pick after concerns over medical issues with his knee.

Bowers as a senior at Clemson had 67 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks. He actually led the nation in sacks and tackles for loss in 2010. He was also named first-team All-ACC, ACC Defensive Player of the Year, unanimous first-team All-American and winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy.
