Falcons to change Vic Beasley's position

by - Assoc. Editor -

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley and his fans should be excited about the 2018 NFL season.

His head coach Dan Quinn will move Beasley back to his natural defensive end position from outside linebacker.

“He played six games at linebacker and two injured," Quinn told the AJC. "I’m going to put him full-time, all-the-time back at pass rusher. I thought it was best for the team even though some of his production would go down. His best role is doing what he does. He won’t go back to linebacker."

In 2017, Beasley had 23 tackles, five sacks, and a forced fumble. For his three-year NFL career, Beasley has an impressive 94 tackles, 24.5 sacks, and nine forced fumbles.

The Falcons drafted Beasley out of Clemson in the first round (#8th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
