Just was listening to Jack Arute and Phil Steele..

Conversation was about football and academics and why kids didn't graduate. Steele spoke up and said, paraphrasing, But look at a place like Clemson. Dabo teaches those kids to use football to get to where theu want to be, not to let football use you. Of the 90 seniors that have come through since Dabo took over, 83 graduated. The 7 that didn't are playing in the NFL. Now that's a marriage of academics and big time football.
Can't help but make you proud.

Win or lose, you know he's doing things with integrity and stressing education come FIRST to all his players. I'm proud Clemson isn't a "win at all costs" institution and hope we continue on the path we are on, in the classroom and on the field.

Usually he seems so married to the sec, but this time he is right on target. Very proud of Dabo doing it right, and glad Jack shared it with a huge audience.

the 83 of 90 stat was released a couple of weeks ago, which was before dwayne walked the aisle a few days ago, so maybe it doesnt include him ..

the tar holes are now setting up a program to provide monies for players who didn't graduate to come back and get their degrees. Why didn't they do it right the first time? Winning is so important ... to losers!
