Looking closer at rankings coming in, the morning tee times were ranked #16 or below. Clemson was 16th and lived up to their seeding by being the clubhouse leader with a six shot lead. Only five teams were below par.

The top 15 in the rankings are on the course now. Does it get windier in the afternoon in Cali? How will -8 stack up at the end of the day?

Nice to see them get off to a really good start and also start out by setting a good tone for the rest of stroke play as they try and advance into match play
