Hootie Ingram's record at Clemson wasn't impressive, but he gets some slack (in my book) because he helped bring about two long standing traditions: The Paw, and he brought back running down The Hill. RIP Coach.

he was the one who took it away in the first place. why should he get credit for what was a one shot deal to bring it back.? Red Parker brought it back permanently

I never liked Hootie as a Clemson Coach but that doesn't have
anything to do with Hootie the man.I'm sure he was a down to
earth God fearing Christian man from the South. I'm sorry to
see that he passed but he lived a life longer than most of us
will.

I fell out with him as a coach for many reasons but when he took
away running down the hill that did it. I was glad when Clemson
parted ways with him. God Bless his family and RIP Coach.

so happens he wasn't a great head football coach. There are a whole lot of things I'm not great at and I sure hope people don't hold it against me. R.I.P. Hootie, and thank you for your time at Clemson.
