It’s not necessarily an ego thing. At least it wasn’t for me. In my playing days we would work out pregame during daylight hours and wear our oakleys. The safest place I had was upside down on my hat. In a case on the bench in my locker/bay bag wasn’t always the safest place. They could walk away without notice. Back then $200 glasses were tough to replace

They would be tough for me to replace any day and time. I wear prescription glasses every minute that I'm awake, and a lot of times while I'm asleep bc I will fall asleep with them on. But ever since they started making them those that gets really dark on the outside, that is what I've worn. The only problem that I have with them is when I first come back inside, and I can't see nothing in front of me. 100% of the time when go into some ones house, I'll take them off for the first several minutes when I go in bc I'm afraid I'll walk into something that could be very valuable and break it, so I take them off....

The only reason that comes to mind is they are desperate to try and be kool, and honestly I can't think of any other reason!!!
