Trump Organization Indicted by Grand Jury. Wouldn't it

be ironic if Trump were eventually taken out of politics the same way Al Capone was taken out of crime, via conviction on Tax Evasion? He has not been personally charged yet, but prosecutors are hopeful someone will Ratface him out.
Yes, you don't have to remind me, I voted for him, twice. What Trump is still doesn't make me feel any better about the senile idiot we have in that office now.

Nailing trump will be difficult. So going after the CFO and telling him he'll rot in jail until he dies is a great way to flip him and testify against Trump.
That guy would have to be an idiot not to have records showing what Trump ordered and knew about. Seems easy pickings

In terms of "nailing the CFO" the politically motivated NY AG and Manhattan DA's office really don't have a lot... Weisselberg is accused of failing to pay a personal tax on $1.76 million of perks since 2005. This is on his personal tax filings and has nothing to do with the Trump Organization.
Very rich guys like Weisselberg can afford really good lawyers and considering he entered a "not guilty" plea and what he's been charged with he ain't gonna make a deal when really good lawyers can probably get him off or just pay some kind of fine with penalty to the IRS. Awful easy to make all this look like an honest mistake on his taxes if he actually paid a bunch in taxes during those same tax years.
Unless the prosecution has something a lot more "criminal" on this guy - he is in no real danger of ever seeing a jail cell over this kind of tax issue and ain't going to kill his golden goose (Trump Organization) to make a "deal" in order to save a few bucks that he will gladly hand over to the IRS to make the issue go away.

signed checks by Trump in these initial documents.
The coming months will also include large tax fraud and bank fraud cases. Vance has a five star team of attorney's and they have been building this case over the last two years.
Trump will no longer be able to run for a federal office. He will have a prison sentence, but it will likely be reduced given his age.

potent because if it fails you may never get another. If this is the most these political hacks in the NY AG and Manhattan DA's office have to "criminally" charge someone after 5 years of digging, they are going to get crushed in court by some very good defense attorneys.
My prediction: Neither Weisselberg nor Trump will ever see a jail cell. At this rate, I doubt Trump is even charged.
But to the bigger point... It's amazing how afraid the Democrats are of Trump. If an incompetent (and senile) lifelong swamp creature politician like Biden can beat Trump then why are they afraid of Trump running again? One would think they would prefer Trump to run since they just beat him and already have all the media and big tech against him. Doesn't seem like the Democrats are real confident in their ability to stitch together another 80 million votes to beat Trump should he run again in 2024.
IMO Ron DeSantis should be the biggest worry for the Democratic Party. DeSantis is every bit as popular among Trump supporters and doesn't have Trump's negative baggage. We will see how it plays out but the Democratic wish to get something on Trump in order to prohibit him from running in 2024 reminds me of the old adage: "Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it"...

Trump can just go Clinton on him if any of the crap is true. Convenient mass suicide has kept Bill and Hillary out of jail for years. Why can't everyone just go that route?

It’s well documented. They find tunnels and destroy them sometimes.
For some reason they just keep popping up. It’s like the cartel has everyone in control or something.
I think if we could work with Mexico to fight corruption people wouldn’t be spilling over the border trying to escape

It’s going to be interesting if biden can go a full 4 years, having accomplished nothing positive for the country, except take out every single enemy on the right who speaks out against him. I mean at this point, we’re basically becoming Russia. You’ve got the NSA breaking into Tucker Carlsons phone to bring him down. Trump , Giuliani, on and on and on now cheating on taxes. Putin finds a way to take out dissidents, and biden is following this to a end degree.
Now he learned how to use the IRS as a weapon from Obama, they screwed up and let that one actually become public(tea party).
It’s really amazing, the only folks undoubtedly breaking the law are people who are against biden. I mean the odds of that are just astronomical.
Thank God we now have a President we can all look upon as a great leader in the Privileged House

...if they can't get him on criminal charges they will try with simple process charges and squeeze anyone associated with him. Same crap they did with Flynn, Manafort, Stone, etc. The full weight of the federal government will harass this man til the end of time. And you know what? I would vote for him a 3rd time. Happily.

So if a president comes in trying to help the people by dismantling the deep state he can look forward to a full on attack from all branches of gov until they find something to put him in jail? Gotta make an example of him so all future Pols are afraid to do anything but look the other way!

if the Manhattan district attorney and the New York attorney general who filed the charges weren't anti-Trump liberal puppets.
I can't help but wonder, if there are in fact tax evasion crimes involving employee benefits, why didn't the IRS pursue this?

I would say 90 percent of multi millionaires could be indicted or have some kind of tax evasion charge if their business and tax dealings were put under the microscope that the left has put on Trump.

I just don;t see an ex-president sitting in jail for anything less than a meat locker full of dead hookers, that is just me. I think the idea is to take away all the peeps that have been protecting him, get a chunk of his money, andleave hi to the wolves.. But throwing him in jail will just light a fire under his supporters to the likes you have never seen, and I just do not see federal prosecutors, nor the SDNY taking it this far. They will just chip away at his money and resources until he is defenseless, at best.

They would have an easy conviction with the payoffs - he is already guilty by jury by proxy as co-conspirator #1 in Michael Cohen's felony conviction. I'm certain the NSA is monitoring him now, given the risk he will sell whatever sensitive information he can remember as his debts come due. Luckily he is the first former president barred from receiving intelligence briefings - not that the IC ever told him everything, anyway. The most I can see happening is a warning behind the scenes.
