1.) Don't want to be in same conference as Coots.
2.) The SEC is the seedy, scummy side of town and everyone knows it.
3.) I want Clemson to grow in academics as well as sports.
4.) Recruiting advantage.
5.) Imagine a night game at DV vs. Ohio State.
6.) Potentially more money.
7.) Yankees love to travel South and will spend their money here.
8.) UGA sucks.
9.) Possible payback games vs. Minnesota!
10.) We might get to play Iowa.

and playing Buckies, Nittanies, Wolverines hime & away (plus new teams Oregon & USC (in Rose Bowl), etc.
But, SEC is more our type of environment due to closer localities, weather, type of football loving fans, cuisine, history, etc.

Let's dispose if the "westher" argument against the B1G. For several reasons. First, the cold weather does not kick in until Novemeber. There will be, at most, 3 games in November not in Columbua or Clemson. Second, at least 1, maybe 2 of those will be in Clemson. Third, an away game could be in Los Angeles, Washington or Oregon. Could be cold in Seattle or Eugene, but it doesn't snow. It could be rainy and nasty, just like Clemson. Fourth, we could be playing in Tallhassee or Chapel Hill, where we already play. Fifth, playing in cold weather is freaking fun. Snow games are great. Sixth, if we play OSU, PSU, or Michigan, the biggest challenge will be the opposing team, not the weather.

Football weather in the Pacific NW (Seattle and Eugene) is typically pretty mild. Cold day might be in the 50s. As the saying goes "It never rains in Autzen"

11. No more FB games played in NC. ESP. the mayo bowl.
12. No more sorry ACC refs. and umps.
13. No more ESPN crap. We can watch the BIG network.
14. Playing on the big house in prime time.
15. Winning a natty and getting paid almost twice as much as now.
16. Getting paid more than any other conference member.
17. Recruiting for playing in the BIG gets us cream of the crop.
18. We can focus our hate on a team that actually deserves it...OSU.

You prolly could’ve made it a one reason list:
1) It’s the SEC
However BiLl, you might want to rethink your ‘fan(aticism) assessment’ of the buckies, Wolverines and Nittany Lions. Their fans show up and they care just as much about their football (and basketball) as any one.

Still wish there was some miracle card to be played that would make the ACC viable going forward. That is not a likely scenario, so this is my next best outcome. It would actually be a tossup for me between SEC and Big 12, but money and stability win out, soSEC would have to be my 3rd preferred option.

Why I prefer the SEC

1. We already play the coots every year so no change here.
2. Ohio St is just as seedy and scummy.
3. The conference we are in won’t affect academics
4. Recruiting advantage. Lots of kids want to play in SEC but want academics as well as athletics.
5. Imagine a night game in Death Valley vs Alabama
6. Potentially more money
7. Won’t give yankees another excuse to come here - like they need another one…
8. Ohio State sucks and they are Yankees
9. More opportunities to beat Jawja, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, etc, etc
10. We get the opportunity to prove where the real Death Valley is.
