The Offensive Line is Garbage

Plain and simple. The O-Line is awful. Please watch the Troy game if you don't believe me. I lost count of how many times our guards whiffed on a block. Troy could send 3 or 5 guys but it didn't matter. Our tackles also looked weak against the edge rush. Either Troy has one of the best defensive lines in the nation, or we are in for some tough ball games.

Au contraire mon frere.
In other words - NO - they did not look good against AU. BUT - they are consistent. Consistently bad.

92,000 drunk auburn fans and Carl Lawson, Mont Adams and the rest of their Dline probably wouldve disagreed with you that giving up zero sacks in that game was awful. The Auburn fans I talked to thought their dline played well below expectations. Hhmmmm.

with our inability to handle an odd defensive front. And this dates to the Bowden era, for some strange reason.
Our biggest problem is at guard. Falcinelli and Morris shouldn't see the field if we want to keep DW healthy. We need more Simpson.
Fruhmorgen is struggling a bit at RT and Hyatt didn't play his best game, but I believe in Hyatt he's a good player.

Yeah, what is that, anyway? I still remember seething, remembering every time the "Chessmaster" Al Groh shut us down with his podunk 3-4 there at UVA. It's like, it's the Hoos, people. The fact that he tacked Chris Long onto what is otherwise the same old White Meat in no way changes the fact that we should be rolling these guys up all over the field. It's a 3-4, they're two-gapping it, figure it out. Never did. Still haven't. We managed to make Troy look like Alabama on Saturday. Whoo, doggy. Bad.
Agree with the guard thing. Hearn's been scattershot, and even Crowder has seemed off. Those two at least have the beef to maul you in-line when they engage cleanly, the problem has been all the inexplicable whiffs, which has got to be giving Deshaun Watson a complex, and making him wonder if these guys just hate him for some mysterious odd reason and are honest-to-God trying to get him killed. The younger guys seem totally lost right now, then you start eyeballing their player cards, and you see lots of "SO" and "FR" by their names...Mav Morris has no such excuse.
I agree Hyatt and Fruh are talented, but they're both playing like the true sophomores they are right now. Fruh just seems green. Hyatt seems to be feeding off everybody else's unsteadiness and isn't playing like he did last year.
I just pretty much think it's a young line, and one that made the mistake of reading their press clippings as "the #1 OL in America" and started believing it. You look at the individual components, the athleticism, the size, and the power, and the potential is certainly there but they got some tightenin' up and growin' up to do.

My thoughts exactly. The talent is there but......and I expected a lot more from Morris at this point in his development. He looks absolutely lost. Falcinelli as well, which is surprising.
Speaking of Wake, I remember Nikita Whitlock absolutely owning Freeman/Norris, now that you bring it up. No surprise that he plays on Sundays.
But for whatever reason, we just can't handle an odd defensive front. No question GT and a few others are preparing to use that kind of formation against us.

Your post is garbage. These are dedicated young men that work hard to play a game that we all enjoy watching; they are not "garbage".

Born2Behave - since comprehension is obviously not your strong suit, I'll explain... When you refer to our O-line as "garbage" you are not simply being critical - you are insulting and demeaning the players themselves as "garbage".
Fans can be critical of how the team played without demeaning or insulting the players or the coaches. If you had merely said, "the offensive line is not playing well and needs to improve or it will be a rough year" - you probably would not have gotten much disagreement. Calling anything at Clemson "garbage" is just plain stupid and is an insult that only a coot would hurl...

I would not call them Garbage but so far they are not a top 5 unit. I believe they will look at how poorly they played vs Troy and regroup.

you don't know that he cooks fries. He could pump gas....although you don't see that too much anymore.
OR - he may be coming off shift at the WaWa....
Also - you are assuming he is employed.
