What are todays tunes for everyone?

I'm getting in touch with my inner soul man and listening to 70s R&B Classics on Spotify. Good stuff.
My first car in the early 80s only had an AM radio, and one of the few stations I could clearly and consistently get in the Greenville area was WHYZ, which was urban/R&B music. So I was one of the few little white kids who listened to a lot of that, and I'm glad I did. A lot of good stuff back then. Probably the best decade for R&B. But then, I think the 70s was the best decade for almost all music!

house, which were big influences when I first started to listen to music, just before the British Invasion. Sam Cooke had the smoothest voice you will ever hear. It was like "butta'"! "Cupid", "Sad Mood", "Chain Gang", and "Another Saturday Night", among many other classics. And Percy Sledge could sing about women problems with the best of them. "Take Time to Know Her" and "Dark End of the Street" come immediately to mind, along with the all time classic "When a Man Loves a Woman". Sorry, Michael Bolton, but you ain't even a pimple on Percy Sledge.
Most may not remember, because he was pretty much a one hit wonder, but there was a cat in recent times named Grayson Hugh, whose voice is a ringer for Sam Cooke. Check out his one hit "Talk it Over" below:

Happy 87th Birthday, Sam the Sham! - Vocalist, organist and founder of the Tex-Mex garage band, "Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs." - Pictured with his backup singers, "The Sham-ettes."
Whatever Happened to Sam? - Domingo Samudio (real name) quit the music business and became a deck hand on industrial ships, eventually getting his captain's license to run supply boats.. He later moved to Memphis and taught Bible study classes at federal institutions.

It's doesn't look like a single post was made about a song released in the last 40 years. I'll add something a little more contemporary for the crowd
Contrary to popular belief, there is amazing music being produced today and it's even easier to discover.
