So after watching more Amari Rodgers highlights

I believe this kid is special. I mean like Sammy Watkins special. He is so fast and quick. High points the ball. Runs great routes. He is going to be something else at Clemson. I cannot wait to see that boy in some orange. Go Tigers!!

Another example why McLoud III may be better at cb? Amari is a freak. Won't Amari, McCloud, and TJ Chase all be playing the same position? Just spit ballin here. Nobody freak out on me.

I don't think Chase projects there, but I may be wrong.

I agree. I think TJ will play where NUK did. He seems like a possession receiver.

the recruiting services have him ranked so low? 247 has him as the #30 WR, #28 on Rivals, and #25 on ESPN. Sammy was in everybody's top 5 by this stage. I realize it doesn't matter and our coaches' evaluation is what counts; just can't help but wonder what the knock on him is in the eyes of these gurus.

mystifying. Again, not that it matters, but I figure he moves up in the rankings before too long.

I'm sure he will jump up in the rankings after balling out in that nike camp he's been invited to. I just can't see there being 25 better receivers in high school than this kid. He is crazy good at high pointing the ball and catching 50/50 balls. I can't wait to see him playing for us.

Why is it called "high pointing", when what they really mean

is jumping up to catch balls that are thrown high? "High pointing" makes it sound like they are catching the ball at it's highest point, which they are not.

Just means they catch it at the highest possible point they can when the ball is in they're vicinity. It's the receiver's high point, not the ball's.

His height will keep him from being rated really high

It's hard to be a 5'9 WR and get a high rating. I really like him though. I think he looks like a faster version of A. Scott with better playmaking skills in the down the field passing game. Give me that all day.
Not getting the thought at all of moving Ray Ray to CB. Why would we want another undersized DB? We've got too many of those already as it is. I know it's just the Spring, but I read somewhere that the top 3 backups to Tank and Fields right now are Ryan Carter (maybe 5'8), M. Edmond (he's about 5'11, but only weighs about 170 lbs), and A. Trapp (about 5'7). I don't think it makes a lot of since to add another guy who's about 5'8 to that mix.

Mark McMillian - 5' 7" - Cornerback
Even for a defensive back, McMillian was one of the smallest players in NFL history. At just 154 pounds, the eight-year NFL veteran finished his career with an impressive 23 interceptions and 404 interception returns yards. In 1997, McMillian had a career high eight interceptions for a league-leading 274 return yards and three touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Im sure alot has to do with Sammy being in Florida. If Rodgers was in Florida or Texas or Cal he would for sure be a 5 star.

I agree. He will be special, and I am almost certainly biased, but my goodness... Feaster, Richardson, Powell, Overton, Cain, Choice, probably Higgins... And these are just the ones who have not already made a name for themselves at this point. And I'm leaving some out too I'm sure.
