Wow. Guess I was born too soon! I must say, though, that carpeting on the "D-5 ghetto" would never have worked. Daily water fights would have rotted it out in a hurry.
My favorite 'Can memory was when I lived on A-6... we found some extra metal panels in storage. Someone had a socket set, so when the Hall Supervisor went home for a weekend, we took out his door panel and replaced it with a wall panel... he went in and out his window for a couple of weeks before they replaced it. Fun times.

Every game day morning someone woke us all up with The Jackson Five 'ABC 123'. Never did find out who was responsible for that.

Back in the 60s, it had to be In A Gotta Da Vida (Iron Butterfly). Sometimes really late (like 3:00-4:00 am during exams) WSBF would play the uncut version.

My "old lady" and I both signed up for those Columbia and RCA record club deals. You got lots of free albums and then were required to order a few at regular price over a year. We never paid, just ordered. We had no money.
We got in all the new Supremes and Beatles. I was also into Stan Getz, James Brown, and Mancini at the time.

The best had to be the two dudes that came out on the ledge wearing mask and holding toilet paper torches and the dude two levels down came out with an electric guitar and played the Jimmie Hendrix version of the Star-spangled Banner that started the "official" streak-freak events on that Thursday night!!!!! The streakers came jogging from the amphitheater between the Calhoun Mansion and Johnston. For over a week, Clemson held the record for largest Streaking Crowd for colleges.

My old lady and I discretely borrowed things from chem lab and built a tiny still in the room. Having no clue as to all, we fermented popcorn in a gallon jug over Christmas holidays to have wort to distill. It exploded, and the smell over the floor was unbearable, especially in the room.

Best album. Ever... I've been waking up to TIME on the album since the early 80s. I used my turntable and a one of those timers with the pin to be my alarm clock... still love waking up to that song... thought money was good, but no where near the best song on the album
