What is something you have a phobia about that isnt normal???

I’m not talking spiders, snakes or heights. Something that most people wouldn’t understand.
I’ll go first. Mine is leftovers, my grandmother and mother couldn’t throw any food away ever. The amount of times I heard “just scrape the mold off the top and it’s fine” . Gross. They would both try and feed me things that once I was aware of the frantic fridge situation I couldn’t eat. They would make new meals w the leftovers to trick you into eating them!
Now, I can eat leftovers only if, I made the food and knew the ingredients were fresh, and two to three days max life in the fridge; Normally only 2 days. I know it’s still good after the that but I’ll give it to the dogs instead. Just the smell of non heated leftovers will make me want to puke to this day.
My wife mentioned a potluck for some speech and debate event last week and barf to that. I ain’t eatin no one else’s food that I don’t know how they kept the ingredients.

After getting out of jail, I had a fear of closing doors behind me for a couple of years. I'd come home and leave the front door cracked. Wouldn't shut my bedroom door, etc.
Glad I finally got over it.

That's a weird thing to see constantly on Reddit.

I think about all the time. And it's not like I'm scared of dying, or necessarily the finality of when its over...it's over, Johnny.
I wonder what its going to be that takes me out. Car wreck? Something dumb I do when I'm drunk? Shark attack? Homicidal poisoning? Whatever it will be, I always wonder if when it happens if I'll be surprised. "So...who would thunk a baseball sized asteroid falling from the sky was going to take me out?" Will I even have time to know when I'm about to check out?"
I dunno if that's even a phobia. But its something that takes up a lot of processing cycles in my head.

I am overly consumed with the thought of putting my kid in his carseat and then dying before I get to my seat and nobody sees that he's in the car or that I'm dead.

I mean, I'd make it. I learned a lot from my grandparents who survived the depression and I'm extremely frugal but yeah, the thought of losing it all and finding box or a bridge... I'd probably opt out

I never sit with my back to a door or window. I call it ALS (Abe Lincoln Syndrome).
Probably not as Abbey Normal as I think it is. But, I always have to have my back up against the wall.

dying - which has been mentioned. not that i am afraid mind you. just the thought they lives in my head. particularly being ocd about it involving the very few that i love.
which brings me to part deux -a love phobia. other than family and some friends, i have a phobia to love. hurt some women badly saying it butt not meaning it. just something i thought i was supposed to say. my belief system makes me avoid it at all costs - which is sad. my phobia with love is i associate it with pain.
not physical butt emotional. so i avoid it.

I'm scared I'm going to get scared... and I don't even know what of! It could anything, or everything. I really go round in circles, fly high like a bird up in the sky... but what if I forget how to fly after I'm already way up there... or trip and fall down a flight of stairs when I'm going round in circles. I could bump my head really bad, or worse, hurt something... OMG....
