women's hoops, but I don't see how being 30-58 in your last three years gets you a five year contract extension. Anyway, if not having to fire her and pay her buyout gets us a step closer to firing Brad after the year, than I'm all for it!

She inherited HOT garbage. The 1st team she had was the only talent snd it was mostly senior. There was nothing in the pipeline so until year 10 you are not going to see the fruits of her hard work.

Agreed. If Pat Summitt herself came back it would take her some time to get the mess that's both of Clemson's basketball programs straightened out.

If this contract extension allows her to build on that and reduces the chances that those incoming players will transfer, then I'm good with it. She's proven she can coach - question is was the 18-19 season a fluke or can she build some with her recruits and have a season more like that this year. The fact that she recruited a top-20 class after 3 down seasons makes me ok with taking a chance. We've played coaching carousel ever since Jim Davis was forced out. Butler has the only winning season since we made that mistake and as bad as the last 3 years have been, the 20-21 season is arguably the 2nd best season we've had since Jim Davis left (after 18-19). If she's had 2 of our best seasons in the last 19 years, then I'm ok with seeing what she can do with some of the best talent we've had in that time period.
Cristy McKinney was a disaster. Itoro Coleman was a great recruiter, but couldn't coach. Audra Smith couldn't make any significant progress. Butler has at least got us to the postseason twice which none of the others did.

and McKinney had a higher winning percentage than the other two:
McKinney (.388)
Coleman (.284)
Smith (.344)
Butler (.413)
That's not good enough here or at least it shouldn't be. Losing to Delaware in the WNIT is good enough either.

I can see giving her time as we couldn’t beat anyone when she came, hopefully she continues to build, she’s a good coach, let’s hope she can rebuild our Woman’s basketball into a champion because woman’s basketball is all that matters!

where they weren't satisfied with just making the tournament. Butler had one good year here and then
2019-2020 8-23
2020-2021 12-14
2021-2022 10-21
and 11-42 in ACC play.
She has signed some good players but has had a lot of them leave often in the middle of the season.
I don't understand a five year extension. Of course Radakovich once gave an extension to Audra Smith.

She has not done well enough to warrant an extension. Sides to this we must not have knowledge.
