Subtle shade thrown at Dabo from Napier?

In his presser, Napier said he learned more in 1 year at Bama than he did in his previous 10 years before that ...

I doubt it as he and Dabo were both learning on the job while he was here.

Maybe , I am missing something , How is that shade and Dabo? Was Dabo the head coach for 10 years while Napier was coaching there? Was it Dani’s responsibility to teach Napier ? Other than when He was Hear Coach?

Napier certainly had the opportunity to learn at Clemson. If he didn't, it was his own fault.

Speaks volumes that the Saban Rehab coaching clinic really turns em around.

That really doesn't speak highly of Napier does it?
He should be thanking Dabo for giving him the opportunity to get his career started.

He certainly struggled as our OC. Hopefully for Florida he has learned something since that time.

It kinda does appear like he was taking a shot at Dabo..

not sure they have a good relationship. If he is referring to his year as an analyst then he most certainly is taking a shot at Dabo. But I'd call BS on his statement and redirect his thoughts a little...you learn alot in every position and Im going from GA to OC overnight was a big learning experience. Maybe he should say being at Bama really enlightened him or gave him a new perspective on how a program is run.
Dabo gave him a shot very early in his career to set his path.

I don't see that as throwing shade at Dabo. Let's remember,

Dabo himself was a newly minted Head Coach who had never even been a Coordinator himself, when Billy Napier worked for him. He was learning on the job, making mistakes and learning from them. Nick Saban, on the other hand was already a multi-National Championship winning coach when Napier worked for him. He had already "been there, done that" several times over. Makes all the sense in the world that he should be able to learn more from Saban under those circumstances.

There was a big difference where the programs were at Clemson vs Bama at that time.

He means he wasn't responsible for calling an offense. He was just an analyst, so he was able to sit back and learn.

I always understood that Napier carried some hard feelings from his time here.
